The recent workshop on Clinical Research, held from 09:30 to 11:30 on Thursday 19th of October 2023 at the Headoffice of the EDB, was a pivotal event in promoting the development of clinical research in Mauritius. Participants had the opportunity to delve into the foundations and application of clinical research, with a specific focus on its growth within the Mauritian context. The insightful speakers offered valuable overviews of clinical research in Mauritius, shedding light on its potential as a thriving hub for conducting trials.

One noteworthy aspect of this workshop was the emphasis on the significance of site selection in clinical research. Participants engaged in discussions regarding best practices and essential criteria for site selection in clinical trials. This comprehensive approach ensures not only optimal outcomes but also adherence to regulatory requirements, which is paramount in the field of clinical research.

Prashant Gokool, Operations Director of ProCare Health Services. Mr. Gokool took part in the networking discussion, where he outlined ProCare Medical Laboratory’s ambitious goal of becoming the primary testing laboratory in Mauritius.
